Trivium Dallas Concert reviews
Yeeehaw!
The Production Design was dazzling and was a big topic of conversation among those seated around me. Cowboy Stadium provided the biggest problem for this concert. I saw Trivium at New Cowboy Stadium on 10/12. Trivium was amazing, as usual, though I felt that the bulk of the music from the current album wasn't up to their standards. The 360 screen was a wonderful experience and made sure that everyone had an excellent view. I have now seen Trivium seven times and Bono always has the audience in the palm of his hand by the end of the first song. The accoustics are terrible. The sound was "blown out" all the time. It was muddy. Most of the time I had no idea what Bono said and would have had no idea what he sang if I hadn't already known all the words. I felt that he didn't get the audience on his side until the fourth an oldie, but goody. Others that I spoke to expressed similar sound issues. Most of the new music was received with sitting. In my past experience, this has not been the case. I also feel the venue contributed to this problem. Opening act Muse had it the worst as they use a lot of effects to their music. They are incredibly talented, but their talent and hard work just sounded like noise. "What is it?" "It looks like a space octopus." "No. It's more like an amoeba mixed with a fortress."
